Exploring Merkaba Meditation Techniques And Benefits
Merkaba Meditation
If you have never heard of Merkaba Meditation or have heard of it and wondered more about it then you’ve come to the right place. It is a meditation technique of controlled breathing that covers eighteen steps.
The word Merkaba is said to mean light, spirit, and body. Or really to mean the body and spirit engulfed by the light. MerKaBa meditation means Mer for light, Ka for the spirit and Ba for the body.
Merkaba meditation practitioners believe that there is an energy field in the universe and it responds to our thoughts and feelings. Part of practicing Merkaba is being able to visualize.
Merkaba meditation involves a field of light generated by two interposed tetrahedrons counter rotating to each other. To picture a tetrahedron think of a three dimensional Star of David.
Benefits of Merkaba Meditation
After you have learned to access your Merkaba you will achieve a greater peace within yourself. Also, you will be on a higher plane of existence and develop the ability to contact those who have already reached Enlightenment and Transcendence.
Merkaba Meditation’s main principle is that our body and our spirit are surrounded by fields of light that are rotating which then enables the body and spirit to move from one dimension of self to another.
It is also thought that these fields of light, or energies, that surround our mind, body and spirit become polluted which decreases their strength and effectiveness.
The practice of Merkaba meditation is the path to balance our polarities of life and to reach oneness. With much practice you will learn to breathe from your heart and to become connected to the heart energy.
Merkaba meditation is a gentle but powerful meditation that develops healing abilities. You will begin to understand and experience yourself and the world in ways that you never would have imagined before.
You must learn to understand yourself as well as the entire universe around us. As you become better at it you will be able to see the shapes clearer, which will enhance your energy and allow your potential healing powers of your mind, body and spirit to grow.
How To Do Merkaba Meditation
The first thing to do if you want to start meditating is to get into a comfortable position, preferably sitting. Then you should clear your mind of all thoughts and worries and to quiet the noise of your own voice.
Remove the days events and focus on just your inner being. Once you have finally reached this state and feel tension free and relaxed you are ready to begin Merkaba meditation.
You must do your best to imagine counter rotating tetrahedrons glowing full of light. By forcing yourself on focusing on counter rotating stars you are increasing your concentration to a level that would not be as easily accessible if they were both rotating in the same direction.
It is believed by some that there are thousands of different geometric shapes of light spinning around our bodies and through our bodies.
Merkaba practitioners focus on the star tetrahedron, like a 3-dimensional Star of David. The reason for there being two tetrahedrons rotating counter to each other is that one represents the male energy and the other the female energy operating in perfect balance.
The one facing up is the male and the opposite is the female. Also the male is pointing to the front and facing up to the sun. They are filled with brilliant white light that engulfs your entire body. The star tetrahedral field surrounds everything, not just our bodies.
There are actually three whole star tetrahedrons interconnected together.Visualize it if you can, if not try to feel it or sense it in some way. It is surrounding you.
One star tetrahedron is your body itself, its locked in place and never moves, unless certain circumstances allows it. It covers our body and is based on whether we are male or female.
The second star tetrahedron is male in nature and is electrical. It is the human mind and rotates counter-clockwise in relation to the first star tetrahedron.
The third star tetrahedron is female in nature and is magnetic. It is the human emotional body and rotates clockwise in relation to the first star tetrahedron.
Merkaba Meditation And The 18 Breaths
Merkaba meditation exercises are made up of 18 regular breaths. It takes some time to ever achieve the total 18 breaths. Quite a few practitioners will be only getting to four or five breathing exercises for weeks or months.
That is all right though. The main thing is to always strive to achieve and feel the unity and stability of your masculine and feminine sides. Then learn to become aware and manage people’s energies to help you to find your peace and place in the universe.
Typically Merkaba meditation is made up of 18 breaths per session. The first 7 breaths are for finding balancing your polarity of your chakras. The breaths 8 through 14 are for allowing energy to flow through your entire body.
Breaths 15 through 18 are for shifting your consciousness and to reach the 3rd and 4th dimensions of yourself. Also they are for reactivating the rotating merkaba within you and expanding it out to 55 feet.
One thing of interest is that it is believed that there is actually a 19th breath. This breath unifies the increased self and your current self. This isn’t taught by Merkaba Meditation instructors however.
It is strongly thought that your enhanced self should be the guide in leading you to your 19th breath of meditation.
As you move through the different phases of your Merkaba meditation you will learn to control the energies that surround your physical and spiritual selves.
By learning this control you will be able to achieve the movement from the 3rd dimension to your 4th dimension and unifies you with your greater self.
What Does Merkaba Meditation Deliver?
One thing a person should know about Merkaba Meditation and also other forms of meditation is that you will not find instant answers to your questions or instant solutions to your problems.
The beauty of meditation is that instead of answers you will find that you have shifted your consciousness and see things in a different light or perspective. Perspective is one of the most important aspects of looking at a problem or even looking at the world.
The main reason that people meditate is to achieve something of value for themselves, personally and physically and mentally.
Meditation has scientifically shown that it is good for a person through many avenues. One of the most important of these is how it boosts our immune system.
This has been proven by the decrease of cortisol in our blood and the increase in healthy chemicals such as HGH (Human Growth Hormone), DHEA, and also Melatonin.
But the main reason that our immune system is aided is that through meditation a person sleeps better. Our bodies and our mind regenerates during sleep and the deeper the sleep the more of this rejuvenation and optimization takes place.
Merkaba Meditation is one of the most powerful healing meditations around. The skill that you will learn with Merkaba Meditation is developing an awareness of the geometric energy fields that are always around our bodies.
Without this awareness you will not receive all of the energies or be aware of the beauty of the universe and also the power. With Merkaba you will learn to manipulate the movement of these energies to your advantage.
It will take a little longer to master Merkaba Meditation when compared to others. For most it will take many sessions just to master the 1st to 8th breaths.
After you have mastered those then you can move on to the higher breaths and beyond. But if you commit yourself to persevere you will no doubt eventually get your rewards. But to become a total master of Merkaba Meditation you will have to embrace the discipline and make it an everyday part of your lifestyle.
